About Dr. Julie
Hi! My name is Dr. Julie Whipple.
I am passionate about helping people learn more about themselves and their relationships so they can live more meaningful, connected, and authentic lives.
In particular, I have a heart for people who have gone through experiences that have pushed them to question who they are and what they want out of life. Getting to this point can be so hard to grapple with but I strongly believe that on the other side, we can experience a deeper sense of self and develop stronger relationships.
Perhaps, you have reached a point in life where you need more support.
Maybe you just became a parent and your life is so suddenly different that you don’t know where you fit anymore. Is your new identity as a mom fitting with all of your other identities? Is there still room for those other identities in the busyness of your new life?
You might have been diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum or having ADHD and suddenly so much in your life makes sense, yet you grieve what life could have looked like if you have known sooner.
Perhaps, you are a teen or young adult and you are having experiences that are making you question how you see the world and who you want to be. Maybe you just went through a break up, are overwhelmed with your workload, or you are figuring out career questions.
Maybe, you feel like your anxiety is getting the best of you lately. Throughout your life, you have been able to “get by” but you have a reached a point where you don’t want to just “get by” any more. You want to feel confident to navigate your anxiety so it does not feel like it is taking over your life.
All of these experiences can feel overwhelming, but they can push us to become more and more of who we want to be.
A vital part of figuring out who you want to be, is looking back and exploring who you have been.
Often, this includes exploring past and present relational dynamics with friends and family. Our worldview is so impacted by underlying beliefs we form early in our life.
Since I first started seeing clients more than a decade ago,
I have seen these same themes come up over and over again. It is an incredibly human experience to want to know where you fit into the world. This is especially true when life experiences take us away from where we thought we fit.
Ultimately, my hope is to support you in dismantling who you think should be and becoming who you really want to be. To reach a point where you can integrate all of the parts of yourself so that you can live the life you truly want to live.
